hyperbole of a humdrum holiday

this weekend was too damn short. as usual. but still felt like a whole lot of nothin. did little to nothing on saturday... went to em's parents house when they got their new dog. then we went home and rented a movie. rented king arthur, which sucked. i dont even want to go into it on that movie. needless to say, i was sorely disappointed. then sunday we grocery shopped (a whopping $250 grocery bill... that happens when you dont grocery shop for around a month...), and headed out to a party at steph's grandparents house.

ate some food, and then steph, em, and i went to visit zieks at the new gallery to check out the carpentry hes been up to. its gonna look bad ass, this i know. im prolly gonna go help him thursday after work, provided my meeting with the elmhurst college counselor tomorrow doesnt get pushed back to thursday.

then we ended up hangin out with mike and michelle, and got into a political debate. those are never pretty there... mikes a hard core republican, michelle votes however mike does, but is generally rather conservative too, em is a democrat, and i, a libertarian. debate indeed.

i have school tonight at 620... first time back since december 03. should be alright... i hope anyway. just an english literature class... which shouldnt be too bad, since i took roughly the same class my senior year in high school. anyway, ive never been closer to the building than roughly a block away, let alone inside it to have any idea of where im going. i have a map of the outside of the place, so i can find my building or whatever, but then finding my room from there is something else.

im getting really pumped about getting back into my art, im having ideas bombard me when least expected. its a wonderful feeling indeed.
